Spring is finally here! First of all, this is one of the best times to visit the Lowcountry. Due to the many events and festivals that take place around the area, you are sure to find something to please everyone! The festivities kick off on March 31st to April 8th with the Volvo Car Open, Charleston area’s largest tennis event. Wonderful events continue with the Cooper River Bridge Run (April 7th) and Summerville’s Flowertown Festival (April 6-8). Festivities include historical events such as the Battle of Charleston reenactments, family friendly activities at the Boone Hall Plantation Strawberry Festival, and top it all off with the Blessing of the Fleet/Seafood Festival in Mt Pleasant. These are just some highlights of course. You can visit our friends at the Charleston Visitors Bureau (ESPM is a proud member!) for more information on spring time events!
