Seabrook Island offers paramount beauty unmatched by anything other than Mother Nature herself! This vibrant, private community is encompassed by the unspoiled natural settings of the coastline — where you’ll find seagrass bundles billowing up the dunes, fiddler crabs scurrying over the sand, pelicans gracefully plunging into the waters, and wildlife finding harmony among visitors and residents alike.

Often described as the “secret sister” of renowned Kiawah Island, Seabrook offers a peaceful getaway just a short drive away. Separated by the scenic Bohicket River, these neighboring barrier islands in South Carolina are only 10 to 15 minutes apart by car. Its proximity also allows guests to easily enjoy the best of both islands, making Seabrook the perfect destination for those seeking a quiet retreat and adventure.

Activities on Seabrook Island

While smaller in scale than Kiawah, Seabrook Island still offers the same island luxuries and activities for vacationers but at a seemingly more relaxing pace. Whether you’re interested in leisurely beachcombing and biking or engaging in structured events like art classes and sports clinics, Seabrook provides something for everyone.

One standout feature is the exclusive Equestrian Center, where guests can immerse themselves in the world of horseback riding. Interact with the gentle horses, enjoy thrilling riding and jumping exhibitions, or embark on a memorable guided Beach Trail ride along the shoreline.

For families traveling with children, Seabrook Island ensures that the little ones have just as much fun as the adults. Each summer, Seabrook organizes a myriad of family-friendly events and programs that combine fun, education, and exploration. Past activities have included island nature excursions, pony rides, crab fishing, culinary classes, athletics and pool fun, and much more.
