This spacious three-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom contemporary home sleeps eight guests and is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac that’s right next to Osprey Point Golf Course and is less than a 5-minute bike ride away from the sandy beaches of Kiawah Island.
When you step foot into the entryway, you’re immediately greeted with idyllic views of the secluded lagoon the property faces. The house has all the updated amenities you’ll need: a fully-equipped chef’s kitchen, high-speed internet, laundry room, beach towels, Sonos speakers in all corners of the house, oversized smart TVs in the living room, main bedroom and screened-in porch, a wide variety of books to enjoy, plenty of games and puzzles to play and even a record player with an extensive library to choose from.
The primary bedroom is oversized and is nestled away in its own corner of the house. It features a vaulted ceiling, private back deck entry with two chaise lounges outside, a king-sized bed, smart TV, desk space, and a fully renovated spa-like bath with walk-in shower, custom marble double sink countertop, soaking tub and ample walk-in closet space.
The two other bedrooms — one king and one with two queens — are situated in the other wing of the house and each have newly renovated en-suite bathrooms and oversized closets. The double queen bedroom also provides guests with a dedicated desk area.
Additionally, these en-suite bedrooms share a cozy landing space featuring an extra-wide daybed, where you can stretch out and relax while reading or contemplating the day’s upcoming activities.
The vaulted ceiling main living room has two large couches along with two swivel chairs that can comfortably seat all guests. Many thoughtful details will greet you: from the cozy blankets to the curated books that adorn the shelves, this room has something for everyone. Adjacent is the dining room and a chef’s kitchen, where you’ll find a large granite island with four counter stools, an oversized farmhouse style sink, two ovens, a gas cooktop, a state-of-the-art refrigerator with filtered water and ice, and a breakfast bar with Nespresso, additional coffee / hot water maker and a beverage / wine cooler.
Off both the kitchen and dining room areas is a spacious screened-in porch with a full seating area and flat-sceen TV to watch sports games and movies with the entire group. Off the porch, there’s a door that leads to the outside deck, which you can also access through the primary bedroom and living room. There you’ll find a barbecue grill and outdoor dining table and chairs to enjoy dinners under the stars. The porch is also a great place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning and take in the nature around you: from baby alligator sightings in the lagoon to a plethora of rare birds dotting the skies, no day is the same in this backyard!
The house is 5 minutes away from the beach by bike and less than 15 minutes if you choose to walk. There’s a fully private outdoor hot/ cold shower situated at the side of the house for rinsing off the salt and sand when you come back to unwind after a day in the sun.
Please note that the dual-sided fireplace is not available for guest use, no smoking and no pets allowed.
As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses, including The Ocean Course, location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center. No access available for resort pools or fitness center.
If you have the time, make a short trip (30 miles) to Charleston, America's most charming southern city. There you'll find world class dining, shopping and lots to explore.
When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. May not be available last minute. Upon booking you will be sent a rental agreement to review and complete online.

A Wonderful Week at the Beach
Our family had a very nice stay at 144 Hooded Merganser over the 4th of July week- the home is so well cared for, and wonderfully appointed in every way; we have stayed at many homes all throughout the island, and this is one of the best ever!! The screened in porch is idyllic with its lagoon view, and the house is in perfect condition- the layout of the bedrooms gives everyone space to unwind, and the kitchen was beautiful. It is a real gem behind Kiawah's second gate- easy walk to the beach several times a day.

First vacation in Kiawah Island
We typically vacation at Hilton Head or Bald Head Island, but have always heard good thing about Kiawah Island, so decided to give it a try. The island did not disappoint and neither did 144 Hooded Merganser. The house was gorgeous and very well appointed and maintained. The communication with ESPM was also excellent.

Fabulous Home
Perfect location, exceptionally clean home and in a nice quiet location. We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay and dream of coming back one day! While the weather was not very cooperative, we were able to spend an afternoon on the enclosed porch having wine and cheese!

Beautiful, serene, immaculate!
The home is in one of the best locations on the island, close to the beach and in a beautiful, treed neighborhood on a cul-de-sac. The home itself is bright, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean (and we are very picky!) and a true home away from home. We especially loved the screened in porch and all of the kitchen amenities. Highly, highly recommend! We will be back.

Wonderful stay!!
We had a wonderful experience with the property management and this wonderful house! We've stayed in quite a few houses on Kiawah over the last 10 years and this is on of the best. The proximity to beach access 32 & 33 was awesome and the house was absolutely beautiful. The owners have really made it a home-away-from-home!

Perfect, welcoming vacation home!
Our family has stayed at quite a few houses on Kiawah over the years and this one is one of the very best! The furnishings, sheets, towels, rugs, etc are so comfortable and soft, the screened porch is the perfect spot to relax with cross breezes and 2 wonderful fans, the location is quiet and only a 4-5 min easy bike ride to the beach, the kitchen is extremely well equipped, TVs are amazing, Wifi worked perfectly, and its so clean and well set up for vacation! The management company was great with communication and responsiveness to questions and bike delivery, and the owners have left wonderful touches that add to the incredible welcoming feel of this house! We enjoyed this spot so very much and appreciate how much the owners have done to make it a home away from home!

Wonderful family house with all the details!
All the details were just perfect. The home has three well-appointed rooms with bathrooms, so everyone has a place and feels comfortable. Love the living room with all the special touches - games, record player with cool records, etc. The kitchen has everything you need. Walk to the beach, bike to everything else.
