New rental, like-new luxury home, close to the beach, with all new furnishings! This gorgeous marshfront home is situated within Otter Island, a private enclave on the eastern tip of Kiawah that backs onto the marshes of Bass Creek. Otter Island feels secluded and is just a short walk or bike ride to the beach via a path that leads you across the world famous host of the 2021 PGA Championship, The Ocean Course.
Throughout the interior, an open floor plan flows easily between rooms with ample space for family activities, gathering with friends, or retreating for some quiet time. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the marsh and creek views with an abundance of natural light. The living area, which spreads across two rooms, enjoys a wall of windows overlooking the marsh, a coffered ceiling, fireplace with stone and wood surround with access to a rear covered porch. If you need to work from the home (though we hope you don't) there are two desks set up by the gas fireplace for a ready-to-use workspace. The newly renovated kitchen has plenty of custom cabinetry with marble and walnut countertops, a suite of upscale, stainless steel appliances, and a center island with wine cooler, and a prep sink with its own water filtration system.
A vaulted ceiling with beadboard paneling and two stories of bay windows complete the adjacent dining area. Just beyond, the family room with built-in cabinetry, television and French doors which open onto the screened summer porch, extending the living space for year-round enjoyment. This gracious porch features a brand-new outdoor kitchen with a Thermador® hood and exhaust fan, custom cabinetry, a new gas grill, and custom countertop and backsplash.
Custom wainscoting and a coffered ceiling with shiplap inlay enhance the first-floor master suite, which has direct access to a rear covered porch. It features a king bed and television. Decorated in warm hues reflective of the marshlands, the master bath offers dual vanities, a walk-in curbless shower, soaking tub, and marble flooring.
The highlight of the upper level is a stunning suite which can act as either a fourth bedroom or a media center and bar – the perfect spot to gather and hang out. A cherry wood vaulted ceiling soars above the seating area with a large screen television. Further into the suite is a fully equipped bar with a wine cooler, refrigerator drawers, dishwasher, ice-maker and coffee bar. Built in cabinets include a closet, drawers and even a built-in workspace with printer. A high-quality, queen-sized sofa bed and a full bath with shower makes the suite a comfortable and luxurious fourth bedroom. The room has direct access to a large deck overlooking the marsh.
Also on the upper level are two large guest suites. The first has a single queen bed, a walk-in closet and an en suite bathroom with steam shower. The second suite has two queen beds, an en suite bathroom with shower/bath and French doors that open onto a spectacular partially covered porch with views of the marsh and summer sunsets. Both
suites have 40” televisions.
The basement includes a large double garage and a recreation room with ping pong table and seating area. A paneled elevator services all three levels.

As our guest, stays of 3 to 21 nights come with a $300 credit to use towards beach gear rentals, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center; Free Wireless Internet Access;. Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay.

Lovely family getaway
We are a family of 5 that had a wonderful week stay at this home. The location and views are excellent. Furniture is nice with lots of sitting areas and places to enjoy the preserve. House is on a lovely quiet street with minimal traffic. Perfect park like settings for a home. Beach is close and accessible however a bit hard for young kids to bike there. If you appreciate Kiawah as our family does, this is a absolutely wonderful spot. We hope to return. Some minor areas for improvement: dining table seat cushions were worn. Happy to water the plants as asked but perhaps leave a token of goodwill / thanks as not every guest would necessarily like the responsibility. The garage / bottom floor wasn’t recently cleaned. My kids wouldn’t go back into the ping pong room after the first day because of all the spider webs / bugs. Add some basic supplies for other families to use. The whole beach gear rental market is just about the only think we don’t like about Kiawah Island. Just leave a bunch of beach toys/chairs in the garage / ground floor storage area to make everything easier. Again we loved our stay and wish to return. This is just some ideas to make it even better.

Manager Response: Thank you so much for your helpful feedback! The homeowners really do appreciate the comments and helpful tips and will be following your advice as far as the watering plants, cushions are going to be recovered, and will be adding in some fun beach stuff for guest use (this is tough to keep up with as not everyone is conscientious about putting it back where it belongs unfortunately). Our maintenance team has been instructed on keeping the rec room and garage areas more tidy, apologize about that! We are so glad overall you enjoyed this wonderful home, the owners are always making improvements and we at ESPM are always looking to improve our guest experiences! We hope you will be back soon.

Birthday/Memorial Day Family Trip
Beautiful home was even better in person than in the pictures. Nicely furnished with quality items from the furniture and linens to the kitchen appliances and cookware. Great views from multiple decks to view wildlife. Screened porch with built in grilling area. Game room was great for the little kids and the upstairs big screen and bar area were a hit with the older ones. Property has elevator for convenience of bringing in supplies and ice maker to fill your cooler. Short ride to the beach. Make sure and bring or rent the bikes! ESPM was fantastic to answer every question and see to all our needs quickly! Freshfield's area has great grocery store, restaurants and shopping. You wont be disappointed with this one!

Also the best water pressure in all the showers!!
